Everyone cherishes their childhood because of its inherent beauty. However, unlike other children, I disliked mine due to the hardships I faced.

Growing up in a humble background always presented unique challenges. Unlike some of my peers who could focus solely on their studies, I was trying to balance my life.

Simple things like enough food on the table or access to necessities weren’t always my companions.

This constant struggle to make ends meet weighed hard on my family; as a child, I couldn’t escape the complex reality of our financial limitations.

In addition to the material hardships, the domestic violence we endured placed a significant mental burden on my family, especially my mother.

These never-ending problems made focusing on my studies incredibly difficult. When your mind is completely out of your control, it becomes difficult to stay focused on anything.

Sometimes I felt like I wasn't supposed to be here with the other kids around me.

They came from more privileged families with more significant resources, and the differences were apparent.

The mental pressure of balancing studies with the difficulties of poverty can be challenging for a child.

Moreover, the lack of resources often meant limited educational opportunities.

Access to academic books, educational materials, or even a quiet space to study were luxuries that many take for granted but were often out of reach for children from families like mine.

This imbalance in life only helped to widen the gap between me and my peers, making it feel like success was always just out of reach for me.

The constant stress and fear that gobbled our home made it difficult to focus on anything else.

Witnessing the instability within my family left emotional scars on me, making life a challenge.

The worst scenario is that being surrounded in such an unstable condition affects both your mental health and emotional health.

It's even difficult to concentrate on your studies, when your mind is completely out of your reach.

Because fear, and anxiety completely invade your mind. The storm of domestic violence can extend far beyond what you can even imagine.

They are intact in every corner of a child’s life, leaving them feeling powerless and unprotected.

My mother, no longer able to cope with the situation. So she left the home, leaving all of us alone.

Suddenly, I was overthrown into a state of even greater instability and turbulence.

The absence of my mother, who had been the reason for gluing our family together, left an emptiness that seemed impossible to even fill.

As a child I was battled with feelings of abandonment and loneliness, unsure of how to overcome this new reality.

After Some time, eventually my mother returned for us. That brought a ray of hope within me.

She pleaded with me to focus on my studies, to get myself free from the cycle of endless suffering and adversity.

That struck a chord deep within me. It was her strong belief in me that struck a fire within me to rise above my circumstances even in the darkest times.

Despite these challenges, my teachers played a crucial role in my journey.

Their constant support and belief in me gave me the strength to overcome the challenges.

Their encouragement was more than anything. It made me believe that I could overcome any obstacles with determination and hard work.

At last, when I learned to excel in my studies. It was not just about achieving good grades.

I found a way to reclaim control over my life, which had been long lost. Celebrating even the smallest wins made me even more confident.

I wasn’t an extraordinary student in school, though I learned to think differently than others.

It helped me solve any problems and approach challenges from a different perspective.

To keep my promise to my mother, I began to score good grades in my academics and continued to raise my name among the top students throughout my education.

This journey in my life taught me different lessons that extend beyond the classroom. I was instilled deep within me that adversity can surely be overcome.
